Interesting ducking effect with compressor

So I was running my RE-20 and Spring Chicken into my compressor today and it gave this really unique ducking effect. So when I play it's pretty clear but when I let off, all of that fluttery/delayed ambience is left and loud!
Really cool effect. I'll see if I can demo it!

There you go!
Listen to how I hold notes out it plays out with no noise. But if I hit a note and pull off it goes into that fluttery ambience.
Also, I make those loud screecy noises by playing below the bridge and at the headstock. And it's SUPER loud using a compressor. Then I'll play a note and it stops the chaos. Super cool dynamic effect.

Really cool. You should try putting other effects in there somewhere between/before your re20 and chicken to see what kind of spacy sounds you can get and quit

Yea, I've played comps but never held on. Always thought 1 trick ponies. But this changes bits.

a) i should get a Boss RE-20
b) I thought about getting a compressor... but I was afraid of the attenuation of hum from my jazzmaster :/
