I had one of these from like 1996-2000 or so. The first part is what they called a pixellator, it was the coolest thing in there. I think the other part you mentioned is the ring mod. Overall it was a pretty crappy digital sounding unit but there were some decent weird sounds in there with the pixellator, pitch shifter and ring mod. They go so cheap now every once in a while I think I should pick one up just for the pixellator.

I'm gettin one just for the pixellator too
