y'know the ones with the coloured plastic/metal cases
and maybe some of the more interestingly named/sounding pedals?
I like the dod mystic blues pedal
the ibanez la metal is rad too

they have been supplanted by smaller bouteeek operations that use those same circuits but in boxes with hip graphics that target certain demographics.
edit: these hip new graphics cost more too, so they must be better.

In a way yes in a way no... on one hand I love those cheap pedals like dod, ibanez, arion, boss,
dano ect but for the most part the things don't work well for me for gigging... but I can also say the same for a lot of small builders... and I don't have a fetish for super badass Japanese pedals that cost way too much but fuck they kill everything out there. [nope this is unclear and random for me to but where ever.. I don't feel like making total sense right now]

I believe the OP is asking for suggestions of other pedal companies that make/made similar styles of pedals. So basically anything made before 95? Or any of the obscure ones.
Dod, boss, arion, danelectro, vesta fire, johnson, ummmm there are a bunch.
