But should I swap necks? (Whiskeyface ripoff thread)

Thanks for the inspiration whiskey_face!
So I'm moving soon from a house to an apt and am only taking 1 guit, 1 bass, and one amp.
Anyway, I'm taking my Kramer dmz-2000 as the guitar and my orange crush 35b bass amp but I couldn't decide between these two basses, my kramer aluminum neck and this grabber copy I got from jwar. Both are projects anyway so I figured I could combine the two! I love the kramer neck but I hate the bc rich-y body style. And it has way too many knobs and switches I don't even know what they do
I had them both somewhat apart so I went ahead and pulled the necks to mock it up. I like it a lot so I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it regardless of what y'all think lol.

My first thought was no, and financially speaking, NO!
But this is kinda win, I say go for it!

A note on all the switches and knobs.
I'm not sure whats going on there as the P/J pups don't support what mine does with a similar looking control layout, put Kramers pickups and internals were quite good based off the examples I've owned. It might be worthwhile to find a way to incorporate all that into the end project.

Yeah I should have said that I am not going to make any permanent mods to the kramer at all and hopefully very little to the grabber. And I will keep the extra body and neck so that I can return both to stock if I need to resell. The kramer electronics are very good but I like the simplicity of the grabber. I may upgrade the pots since the tone is a bit scratchy.

Yeah! But look like the metal neck is not large enoug to fit? Maybe it's just the picture.

it is a little narrower, I will have to make a little wood shim of sorts. I think it'll look fine when it's done. Stay tuned for pics!

Swapping is definitely the right decision

The Grabber looks sick with the Kramer neck. Do it.

If its just scratchy, open it up and spray some de-oxit inside the pots. 90% of the time it works all the time.

I have an '81 DMZ but it's black and doesn't have the crown cut on the back of the body. It has passive P/J pickups and is the shit. I wouldn't personally do it but they're your guitars.
