Probably best to email them. I've not seen many of their drums around in general plus shipping up to you in Canada makes me think that they would know best!

i taught myself. got my first kit back in 99. it's not that tough. friend of mine did the same thing since we couldn't find a drummer for our first real band.

I taught myself to play on a mismatched mostly Slingerland kit. If I had an Emperor kit, I probably would have kept playing.

These seem like run-of-the-mill Keller shells (which they're probably going to over-price just like every other "custom" Keller shell drum company does) with some Emperor badges and hardware. What am I missing?

They got a deal with DW for shells years ago so that's what they're using now days.

still probably overpriced.
most custom drums are pricey.

why not order shells, even pre-drilled, lacquer them yourself and mount the hardware?
save money and learn how to put together drums? score! :thumb:

that said, those emperor kits do look nice.

I've got a Verellen cab. They're honestly not as common as Emperor cabs, it seems. I love my Verellen cab though, and Ben is always great to work with!
