I tried some a while ago. They sounded super icepicky bright, wasn't too into it. I like bright sounds but it was bright in a way I didn't love, like a grating tinny high end or something. Awesome for pick scrapes though.

I used super thin aluminum picks in my brief guitar playing phase mostly for tremolo picking.
They sounded quite nice but every single one broke as I was using it (probably due to the tremolo picking). Usually into some sort of jagged serration that would draw blood.
I imagine a thicker aluminum pick would hold up nicely and give you a unique toan. I do think they have more "ring" and less click than regular picks. A useful tool when seeking brightness.

I made one out of the back of an old DOD pedal, I used it for a while when going through a Shellac phase, it was a little on the thick side but I liked how rough I could be with it. Only downside was it didn't 'give' like even the thickest plastic picks can

I got some and was bangin away on my baritone but the sound does not outweigh the damage done to my strings so they are now relegated to scraping sounds only...

I wonder if the string damage would be reduced if the picks were made of another metal.

I use bronze ones. You can find a dunlop branded pic called "techpicks" on ebay and they're the fucking shit. I found I bent and broke the aluminium ones I used to have.

I use them and love them. I'm trying to get a set of different metal picks soon. I'm curious if they have different characteristics.
