Hey y'all,

What do you run at home to keep yourself sane while your stacks are sitting in a practice space?

Acoustic bass tuned to c-standard, although I'd love a mini doom stack.

Riffs are riffs, whether amplified or not.

Melodica for hebby oscillating drones. You can even bend notes, yo.

I use a little ORange Crush 12 watt combo. It gets farty in the low end sometimes because of the 8" speaker, but it sounds surprisingly good. Got it used at Guitar Center for $50 out the door.

I usually play classical acoustic at home. I've got a V-Amp and an MBox with guitar rig etc if I feel like playing electric. Also I just got a Zoom R16 so I can record wherever.

ive found the only way to make low vol thunder
is as many lil speakers as you can hook up
i play so neurotically low at home its stupid
so besides the two lil amps
i got a p.a. column hooked to the lows amp
it was just an experiment a first
but it worked
now that were jamspaceless
i got the acoutic150 and emperor in the living room for now
that thing sounds ok at 1
id give a kidney to be able to crank it
sometime before halloween

If my wife's home...I use a Jet City 20 watt head in the man-cave, with some carefully selected tubes to knock the gain down a tad, thru an old ampeg V2 4x12...gets quiet enough that I can play even if she's sleeping upstairs.
If she's not home, I'll wind up the V2 with the same 4x12 and stand out in the living room

I used to own this. It was pretty awesome.
(I'm not sure how the picture got up on Wikipedia, but I approve.)

I run the exact same setup, I just turn it down a bunch. renting a new place soon so im not looking forward to the "slowly inching up the volume until I get a complaint then back off" thing.

Im thinking id set my ditto up fora mish mash loop of sounds. then go outside and see how loud it is and adjust from there.

well, set up a loop and kick the neighbors door down. Tell them its for their own good and you are simply being courteous and empathetic towards them. Drink their milk while you are in there, right from the carton too...
