im kinda a mid-fi fanboy and i noticed on his fb page that prymaxe is getting mid-fi's first batch of overdrive pedals! im pretty freaking excited to hear clips! deff gonna be picking this up!

wonder when prymaxe will put 'em on clearance...
edit: that comment was because of them being douches to fuzzhugger, not an insult to mid-fi or anything.

The basic idea is, it actually reacts like an amp (or some amps).
The clipping portion of the circuit is under envelope control so instead of mashing a loud signal into a brick wall as most overdrive do, the clipping element of the circuit moves with your playing, much like an under designed tube amp...the kind that sound rad/totally fucked up.
So this is a pedal with "sag" that is more then just misbiasing a transistor so things sound weird, the volume of light/clean strumming, is exactly the same as your hard/blownout strumming.
You can also have the gain control on max, and get to 100% clean by backing off your guitars volume at a 3rd of a turn or less....and it will be the same volume!! for real!!!
I'm really psyched about this dude....now for that demo.........soooooon!!!

^ Normally I don't pay any attention to new overdrive pedals but THAT definitely has me interested. Keen to hear a demo.

Yeah, I'd never release an overdrive unless it did something the other ones don't.
There are far too many out there as is that all do pretty much the same thing.
