EHX Memoryman with Hazarai (focus on the the modulation

I been looking for a good delay. I got a T-Rex reptile on my wishlist and will get that regardless but I need a different backup delay for different things because I'm bi-polar in music, I like one sound and then I hate it the next hour. I once played a EHX SMMwH and I liked it. I want to know more on about the mod (chorus sounds). I can give a shit about reverse or anything else. I am not looking for a strymon because, well, that's too much money for one pedal.

Any help would be grateful. I am planning to get one in the near future but not right now at this point.

The modulation is ok? Really imo the strengths of that pedal are all the weird noises and not the basic delay so if all you're after is a nice sounding delay and you don't want the weirdness I'd probably recommend something else. Is tap tempo important to you?

The SMMH's modulation is flanger, not chorus. I remember just using it as a flanger when I had it. Pretty neat.

on the extreme settings the modulation delay can get pretty darn deep
tho i'd say if you're looking for strictly a modulated delay, might not be your best bet?
i mostly use the multi tap modes

it can actually do this really whacked out TZF at some settings the modulated setting is awesome, but yeah... more of a special effect delay pedal than an essential pedal
