What do you think about Celestion g12k 85?

I'm getting rid of some Vintage 30's from an Orange cab and I have a chance to trade them for some Celestion g12k 85's. I already have 2 WGS Veteran 30's that are going in.
So it would be 2 Celestion g12k 85 and 2 WGS Veteran 30's.
I will be using an Orange or120, playing heavier, doomy music.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks.

I have them in a Peavey MS412 cab. They are kind of scooped. They sound good, but I like a strong midrange, so they are not really my favorites. Maybe the Veterans will balance them out, I dunno. They can handle 85 watts apiece, so they have that going for them. And good low end. But not vintage sounding, on their own.
IMO. I don't have golden ears, so YMMV.
Why are you getting rid of the Vintage 30's? Also, that doesn't seem like a fair trade.

I'm not a fan of the Vintage 30's at all. That mid spike kills me.
I know The V30's are worth more. I want to get a pair of WGS ET65's to pair with the Veterans, but I need to get rid of the V30's first.
I have them on CL locally for cheap if anyone is interested.

You can find Peavey MS412 cabs for 150 bucks, and some of them will have those Celestions (some don't have Celestions). Find a Peavey cab, rearrange half the speakers and make a full stack.
