I took on a deluxe pbass lyte (japan) that was having issues. I found some wiring that was cut so I resoldered all connections now I just get a huge hum and no output. Everything is connected according to the schematic. Any ideas what to try next?

It sounds like you got some wires crossed or maybe a bad volume pot.
Take some pics and I may be able to see what's up.

Do you have a Multimeter?

The guts were a true mess. Some wires just cut. I taped the groups of 3 together to keep them less tangled. The pic of the single pot is the noisy one. Its like a dual pot with 3 setting. Far right and left make loud noise middle position is silent but still no output.

Do you have a battery hooked up?

Yea. Had to replace the battery clip. Last one was tore up.

I would check the solder lugs where the pot connects to the PCB, along with the group of yellow and white wires that have the pads touching. Those are the two things that stand out to me the most!

I cleaned up those joints best I could. I can get a tiny bit of sound in one of the knob positions of my amp is dimed out.

Also reflow solder over ALL of the joints, it could be as simple as one of the original solder joints being loose or something
