Would you make this trade?

Post by MrNovember »

I've been offered a couple pedals for my Malekko Lofi 616, which I don't really use that much.
They are a TC Electronic Flashback, EHX Memory Toy, Sparkle Drive, Nitro Boost, and Rockett Animal OD.
I'd be mostly interested in a trade for another delay, and am kind of leaning towards the Flashback, but the Memory Toy, Nitro, and Sparkle are also tempting.

Currently, my main delay is a Dispatch Master. I mostly got the Lofi 616 for the weird, modulated delay but I've decided to replace it with a Goodbye 24 because it seems to do more of what I want. I also don't like some of the unwanted feedback with the Lofi 616.

Any experience with the Flashback? I've heard good things but any ILF recommendations? Would you go for any of the other pedals instead?

Flashback is a good utility delay pedal. i enjoy the modes, the looper is good. nothing that will make you pee on a neighbor in delight, but good stuff.

it DOES have a TonePrint spot, which means you can dl the editor and make a Crazy Bastard tone there if you want.

i never clicked with the Malleko delays either.

I have a Flashback, i dig it. It has good sounds and the ability to make your own toneprints is pretty rad. I find myself mainly using mine for reverse delay or looping, which leaves me wanting another delay... or a dedicated looper. But overall, i'm happy with it. I'd say go for it.

Thanks for all of the opinions guys :)
It sounds like a resounding yes from all of you. I think I'll go for it. Sending him an email right now! :D

Yeah TonePrint really intrigues me.
And I don't know why it never clicked with me.
I really wanted it to but as soon as I bought another delay I just completely stopped using it :idk:

I am also really intrigued by the reverse delay. I've got a dedicated looper and a dedicated delay so this might be dedicated to some weirder settings like the reverse or whatever I can figure out with TonePrint.

Just made the trade and played around for a bit when I got back.
I am very, very happy with it :!!!:
I haven't been able to mess around extensively but after a quick test to see that everything works, I have to say I really like it.
I think I'm going to spend most of the day tomorrow messing around with it and with TonePrints :yay:

Also the dude I traded it to was super cool.
A Croatian dude that is "looking to make some ambient fucked up noises"
