being annoyed by the bridge of my jazzmaster recently
both the 1st and 6th string are very easy jumping off the bridge
when i strum the 6th string even a little harder, it jumps off...
and the 1st string is very hard to bend ≥ 2 semitones at the high position (12th fret above )

except installing a BUZZSTOP, anything else i can do ?

If you're willing to spring for it, you can knock out all of those JM bridge issues with a Mastery bridge.

Yeah Mastery seems like the best solution.. it's silly how much they cost, though. The staytrem is a lot cheaper and seems to be nearly as good?

I have a J Mascis JM and even that can have the same problems with a tuneomatic bridge with the trem moved forward, I tried a roller bridge and then the strings started popping out at the nut and then taped the strings together at the nut and now they pop out of the bridge saddles again

Go for this instead http://staytrem.com/epages/950002362.sf ... er_bridge1
I changed out two mastery equipped guitars with this lately. And I´m so much more happy.
Dont put on a buzz stop, ruins part of whats unique with the guitar in my opinion.

Also Stay Trem is cheaper..

Also forgot to say, there is a lot less buzz with the stay trem than the mastery..

I really want one of those but it says 'not suitable for guitars with tune-o-matic bridge'..

Has anyone tried tried to put a Staytrem on a J Mascis or CP?

I have a Mastery on my JM and it rules. Eliminated all the issues I was dealing with, same issues everyone complains about.

I also have the newer/bigger Staytrem (full 1" width) on my Bass VI and again, spectacular bridge. Same great results as the Mastery plus intonation was finally achieved on that 110 low string.

For the money, I don't think you can really best the Staytrem tho, super simple and effective plus it looks really nice. I also love the set radius, one less adjustment to fuck with. One thing I do prefer about the Mastery is the fatty leg posts and the fit they produce but they can be tricky if even slightly over tightened as they fit so snug the height adjustment screws can't force it up/down. I like to set the height first, them snug up the post screws.

Anyway, either bridge will easily solve all your offset issues and both builders are great to deal with. Just a matter of how much you wanna spend or if you prefer one to the other visually. I'd avoid a buzzstop at all costs. As mentioned above, it kills the most unique aspect of a Fender offset, all that behind the bridge string vibration. Plus it looks butt ugly. That's 2 strikes, I'm sure there's others.

about the staytrem - does it rock back and forth with using the tremolo arm or not? because that's the main concern for me

Doesn't move much on my Bass VI version but the posts are a bit smaller than Mastery's and it def has the potential to lean/rock. The Mastery posts are fat, securing a very tight fit in the body thimbles.

Staytrem moves a bit, but not much. Never something I´ve noticed while playing.
I emailed them, and he told me to keep it in the middle, it has stayed in place ever since.

it's just that that's the reason for Jazzmasters going out of tune - that the rock and don't return to the starting position... if it didn't rock, i'd buy it over the GraphTech'd bridge i have now
