My first recording....also with aenima suggestions pleaase!

hey guys! i've been recording somewhat for a while and i suck at figureing out the program i use (Cakewalk Sonar 6) i also hear that it sucks and i got ripped. i acutally turned the knobs for once on my mixer and that actually made a difference, lol
like i said i dont know much about this shit and i usually try half assed........but it all looks confusing most of the time if you dont know shit abou tit which i dont.......anyways.........if anyone can give me any advice or tips on the program..... just anything would be great, big or small. the mixer i haveis alesis multimix 8 firewire. Guitar is fender strat 1959 2007 reissue...no amp....... plugged into mixer with Aenima. I got that pedal just a few days ago it is sweet......... i don't have a rocket pedal anymore which wouldve been more appropriate and i was too lazy to get out my skreddy mayo but i thought you guys wouldnt like that so i did aneima and still sounds great. I'm not a heavy player, why would you buy aenima you ask
well i use to like heavy bands but i just changed my mind about heavy shit.......although my friend is signed on an indie record label and is gonna go on tour here soon............ 
so i thought i try this pedal maybe mention it to him eh? 
i actually already have numerous times and have given him the website. but i dont' think hes into pedals much...but i think i'll mention aenima to him. o ya i gotta link it right? leemme link it just gige me one minute!!!!!
