To me it sounds like a lot of what is being heard is the camera mic clipping.

I can achieve a similar-ish sound with a VFM going into an OC-2 into a really clean amp.
It might partially have that overblown mic-console sound cause he is using something intended for PAs if you eyeball the backline,

Yeah, she's just stacking lots of gain.
I think the real trick is that you need to wear a ring on every finger (and post a video of it).

Sounds to me like definite budget camcorder mic overdrive. Reminds me of a dimed 5 watt transistor amp getting its input slammed. Should be pretty easy to recreate. Most high school grunge bands can nail it without even trying.

I saw her live a couple of weeks ago, and her fuzztone was seriously great. Didn't get a good look at her setup, but it seemed pretty minimal.
