Help me identify these mics

I obtained them through perfectly legal, reasonable means for free, along with 4 20' mic cables with the male ends snipped off

Googling "audio lab IM 750" yielded nothing useful whatsoever.

Even if they are useless for recording bands, the mic cables when re-soldered are a great score.....

I mean I'll test them out and see what happens, but I am useless at figuring out what kind of mics they are.... all I know is an SM57 goes in front of an amp and that's the end of my knowledge regarding mics. I would date these from the early 80's and they were used to record conversations via being hung from the ceiling.....

Any help appreciated....

They look like decent Dynamic Mics, no info anywhere... Just stick it in front of a cab or on some perc. or out the window for birds and wind and you'll be fine...

Nice score, dude! Looks like a pretty standard dynamic with an on/off switcheroo.

Let us know if they're any good once you get something recorded.

They may be rebranded Aphex 750 mics with a different mic top?? Maybe a brand bought out by another company before a redesign?

Here's this that I found:
http://www.amazon.com/APEX-750-Hand-Hel ... words=APEX

Note the blue low/high switch circle.
