that's a misunderstanding, here's the real story:
I've been friend with Devi since 2004 (if my memory is correct or a year early), so around late 06 i designed the android and started selling the 2knob version, Devi like it a lot the sound clips, somehow we started chatting an decide it to do an expanded version of the Android via E13 (4knob and the joystick one wich was the handroid -if you were in that time you'll remenber the handgazer and the sprocket) while i will still doing the copilot 2knob versions. We did it for a couple of months i think a total of 25-30 pedals (androids and handroids), early 2007 Devi started Devi Ever FX, so while chatting we decide to stop doing them, for a couple of reasons:
-I was assembling the pedal, but i live in the Dominican Republic, and Devi was in Portland, so logistic wasnt the best situation
-Devi wanted to focus on the DE artifacts, so she can optimize their production to keep the price as low as possibly and bring handmade pedals to the masses
-Devi was so cool, that she talked with a couple of her retailers about copilot fx,
The 4knob copilot version android is different from the e13 one.
Probably some people may have thought that the copilot is a clone of the e13 or viceversa, but the truth is that it was a sonic experiment between 2 friends that haven't met in person, but all i can say is that words cant describe how cool and generous is Devi
so hope this clears the confusion, i think Devi might add a couple of things i may had forgotten about.

I must just say that Copilot Fx make great pedals, I have the Gyroscope (first version) and the Android, and the guy making them is a very friendly person too

So, is the android a tremolo and ring mod? I watched a video on youtube and it sounded more like a tremolo than ring mod.

It's just a ring mod from what I understand. When the LFO controlling a ring mod is down in below 20 Hz, it will sound like a tremolo. Conversely, if you had a tremolo that could go up above 20 Hz, it would begin to sound like a ring mod.
