Red Panda Particle

Been thinking hard on this deelay ped since picking up a Context reeverb. Since I've already got a DL-4 and a Disaster Transport, just wondering if the snagging the Particle might make having one of the others a bit reudndant? The DL-4 handles the looping chores, so I guess it's really more about the EQD vs. the Red Panda.

IME, the particle is its own wild and untamed beast. i don't think you'll make your others redundant.

The Particle does things that the other delays simply don't do.
It's pretty awesome - I have a demo of it in my sig on guitar. I'll be doing more on bass in the near future.

The Particle doesn't do anything that would make either of those redundant. It does a whole load of cool crazy things, but doesn't do straight delays well enough that I'd think it'd kick the DT off your board.
^Great demo! Captures so much of what the pedal does, and some sounds I'd never got out of mine before!

I've heard that it is very bright (maybe too much). Is that really the case.

It's pretty bright, yeah. I wouldn't say too bright, but ymmv.

Thanks, Dudes!
Seems like such a unique pedal. Now I'm kinda glad to hear that it doesn't cover all the bases of a straight-up delay, as I've grown to dig the DT. The delay/verb setting on the Context is nice enough to cover in a pinch. It even sounds it can cover some of the same territory as the EQD Organizer. Think I'm just gonna have to try the Particle out

Def it's own thing and a nice delay to compliment more standard fare. I esp love the freeze function.

Coolness. Got one on order. My buddy keeps a Timeline over at my pad as well, but it sounds like the Particle may have a different enough voice to hold it's own

I've never thought it was too bright. It's maybe brighter than some delays but not unpleasantly.
My complaint on all the bitcrushers I've heard is that they're too bright, too much treble. The random setting on the Particle sounds the way I've always wanted a bitcrusher to sound.

I will have to try one.
I really love my Empress SD for reverse, but this one seems different.

It is. Reverse isn't like reverse on other delays I've tried, but I still love it (reverse may be my favourite particle mode). Does a bunch of different things to standard delays but reeeaally well.

Just got the Particle this afternoon. You were all right.....this will be sitting right next to the DT and a Context without any worry of overlap. Just getting started with it, and I can easily tell that I'll be spending many hours knob twisting, possibly in an state of altered consciousness
