This has been posted here and there but figured I'd compile it into one thread. Premier Guitar just did a nice write up discussing the making of the new Russian Circles album and the gear they relied on this time out. Also a Rig Rundown video, good stuff.

Ughhhh. How does Mike make those tapped lines seem so easy?!
Also, all that time talking to Brian, and no playing by Brian? Weak. Cool stuff, though.

Saw these dudes tonight.
I wonder if monson would do a 12.
I got to briefely chat about the Quantum Mystic. Apparently he is fucking thrilled with it. asked how it sounded foh and all I could say was awesome.'
After the fact I thought I should mention that when he was doing triplets it sounded a bit mush. but only then and that could have been PA. the rest of the time the sound was fucking killer. BOTSC was fucking amazing and the nice suprise of the night award goes to Bell Witch. drums and bass and some nice bass technique to make it sound like there were more than two people in the band. I really enjoyed. A bit dronked so apologies for typoes I no cares right now.
