Everything about that looks wrong, to me.

Yeah the pickguard looks kinda goofy, but it has mudbuckers, so it's okay.

I don't like the fact that Tele basses are double cutaway.
If this thing looked like the guitar version of the Tele Deluxe, I'd be all about it.

Exactly. Looks like a P bass with different pickups, Tele Deluxe guard and regular Tele headstock shape...

Turns out it's just the stretched pickguard that throws this whole thing for me.

i've always loved tele basses, but the thing that did it for me is that they were simple and elegant. just too much going on with this custom model.

Yeah. Better pickguard and I'd be all over that. Even with it it's a pretty cool looking bass though.

You guys are so picky. A pickguard is an easy thing to swap out.
I'm interested in hearing how it sounds. I think I'd be more into it if it had a single coil in the bridge.

But guys, without the pickguard, isn't it basically a P bass with mudbuckers? Personally, I want them to keep the pickguard and make it a single-cutaway. Then I'd be down.

I wanna hear those pickups too.
If they're like Gibsony mudbuckers then you could ditch the tone controls without worry

Just saw away along the curve of the pickguard on the upper bout by the pickup selector and you're good.

Me trying to do woodwork always ends in tragedy.
