Cable brand suggestions

Hey folks - I remember a while back, in a discussion about Monster cables, a bunch of folks said that they make their own cables. I'm getting ready to finish up my board, and my bandmate said that if I order the cable and a buncha connectors, he's willing to help with soldering. I think I'm gonna go with redco.com as the supplier, but they carry a number of different cabling options. Any suggestions on what's the best bang for the buck? I'm not looking for gold-plated platinum threaded connection perfection - just something nice & dependable that does the trick.

No idea... but if you don't want ultra superb cables, planet waves are affordable, pretty good and cand last 5 years easily.

I have used and like the Canare GS-6 works great and comes in colors.

I use something similar to the
Mogami cable. I find it easier to solder the ground.

www.bayoucables.comButch is the owner and operator, he uses Canare GS-6 cables and you can pick the end plug brand, they're dirt cheap and he'll make you custom lengths. I've got him making all of my pedal board jumpers right now.

Thanks all! I think I'm going to go with the Canare GS-6s suggested by MM and Cliff... it's pricey, but I don't think I'm going to need that much (I'm guessing that 10 feet will be more than enough, considering that the longest length I'll be needing won't be more than a foot), and while the new Redco cable MM mentions sounds good, I'm a little worried by that extra shielding that can short the cable if it's not stripped properly...
So, thanks again! I knew this would be the place to ask...
