Ok so here's the deal. I love The Kills and the tone's Jamie Hince can get. His guitar has been making me itch for a new axe, but something unique. In case you haven't seen it, he plays a Vintage Hofner Galaxie 176. I've never seen a guitar like it until he's played one and it sounds sick. Awesome trem, gold foil pickups, and a ton of knobs put this thing over the top. I need the board's help finding an original guitar that will give me some awesome raunchy garage rock tones. What do you suggest? Here's a pick for inspiration:

Hagstrom 2 looks pretty awesome! Are those single coils that look like humbuckers? I'm about done with humbuckers and I'm really leaning single coil.

Oh and looking for the Hagstrom 2 I found a Hagstrom 3 that looks like it could be the one:

These are some nice guitars... Loving the price on that Hofner. I'm actively looking for a tele version of the 176. The seem hard to find, but they are sexy as hell. Even come with a sick tremolo!
