Although I haven't Lp's or cd's could be cool. Especially is you put a piezo pickup under the vinyl and scraped across the grooves for a cool precussive sound.

I wanted a gold anodized one on the cheapz, so I used a $12 gold anodized cookie tin. Cut it out by hand nice and carefully with a dremel, then slipped about 3/4 of the way around and put a big slice into the top. I said fuck it and just made dremel swirlies all over it and now it looks like the best kind of shitty.

What material would be the easiest to work with if I don't currently own a dremel? Records sound like a cool idea (and cheap, from second-hand stores), but what do you cut them with?

where did you get the brass? I'm working on a project for a friend with an explorer shaped body, and he wants no picguard on the front, which means panels on the back. brass would be badass!

Someone gave me a scrap a long time ago, I used it for my lapsteel

You can find it on ebay, but, it's hard to find it in 2-3mm it seems, on the other hand copper seems to come in more sizes :idk:

It's the damned pickup holes, I mean you could do it with a drill and a coping saw, and then file/sand, but it would be a pain in the ass.

the answer is always dremmel.
That lapsteels is badass.

I just ordered some decorative plates that will be DESTROYED in the name of pickguards. cool Egyptian engravings on them. most likely they are priceless antiques that were used to serve drugs and virgins to pharaoh. DESTROY!
