Seriously one of my favorite memories from the Aeroplane Flies High box set... That entire collection is un-fuck-with-able.

i remember those singles coming out one by one, and how everyone i knew flipped out about all of the b sides.

REMEMBER B SIDES?

i was way too young and uncool when this stuff was coming out. Did anyone ever take aeroplane, take out the actual singles, and then make a big double album out of it? I don't know what happened to my playlist but i used to listen to it like it was a double album sequel to MCIS. Maybe I'll make one again. I know the first track I put on there was "Last Song" I tried to make the transitions mimic the transitions from other SP albums.

Also, I picked up my bass for the first time in a few years last night because of the mood this song put me in. (I usually play drums or make music on the computer these days) My approximate skill level on the bass right now is consistent with my 16 year old self after just getting it.

Man I remember my neighbor used to carry around his aeroplane box everywhere, he was in love with it...He never bothered pickin up an actual copy MCIS which was kinda odd...

Bands still do b-sides sorta...you just have to buy the super mega ultra deluxe re-release for $30 from bestbuy to get the 2 extra songs.

the cure almost went there with the new album. they recorded 33 songs, originally it was to be a double record but that got scrapped, so they did a bunch of singles each with a totally unique non album song included, which for the most part trumped the album tracks as well.

I love everything on Aeroplane Flies High, especially the title track. I honestly think 'The Aeroplane Flies High' is the coolest Pumpkins song. And to think flood said it was "too metal." And the 33 single has some of the best acoustic work. Also the artwork on each disc is just as cool.

The first time I heard TAFH was live during the Infinite Sadness Tour, I was like : "WTF!!!"
The next day I bought the box set and instantly fell in love with it !

Or the import singles, which is kind of a huge pain. Used to be a rad record store near me that I could always count on for import singles, and I bought so much stuff from them they gave me a pretty good price on them too.
