Anyone have examples of bass pickups on guitar?

I'm gonna put a bass pickup in a project guitar, and I want to know what it'll sound like.... Anyone know where I can hear something like that?

I think the lack of 6 pole pieces could lead to a muddy and unfocused tone but who knows. You plan to use a blade style pickup to compensate for the guitar string quantity and spacing?

IIRC, the dude from Local H had a bass pickup situated under the low strings of his guitar so he could pull double duty in that 2 piece band...

The guitarist from Mares of Thrace has a custom built baritone with one guitar and one bass pickup with each wired to their own output.

I dig pretty hard on Mares of Thrace. I've seen that guitar, but had no idea it was stereo out. Even cooler!

Edit: I had to do a google image search to read more about that....and now I'm having to revive my french a bit......
