The Electra's were really nice, I've always wanted one of those MPC guitars with the effect modules.

Copies would also get shipped unbranded, to be badged by local retailers, so I'm sure there's some lesser known ones out there. I've got a nice unbranded SG copy. I'd stay away from the bolt-ons, people often have unrealistic expectations of what they're worth (the cheaper ones have shit pickups, I've seen single coils rattling around inside humbucker covers), and you're better off getting a more recent copy like a Vintage or something.

what do you guys think of gibson LPJ's/SGJ's vs. these lawsuit types?
generally a similar price on them both in the used category, it seems.

most of the time the bolt on ones are plywood and the top is just shimmed with scraps as the only connection to the rest of the body. Meaning that is why guy will post picts with the pickups out, so you can see what it is made out of. So yeah if it is built like shit it will suck.
