Somebody on here grabbed one of these a year or two ago I think… I forget what the verdict was. Agreed though, they look cool. Reminds me almost of those older Ovation electrics.

I've long been interested in these guitars. Especially this one:

They're reportedly quite nice.

Yeah I've heard great things about Godin, who makes these, but their other guitars didn't seem like my style. This is more up my alley. I wonder if a Filtertron in the bridge would match the neck pickup.

i love that this comes with alumitones, but why the 4 way switch? that seems like it would get really muddy in series mode

Alumitones have some pretty great clarity in my experiance. It takes a lot to get em sounding muddy and this is coming from a guy who plays a 12 string through 4 fuzzes and 2 overdrives.

I generally dont like things that are chill. That rickenbacker looks cool tho.

I love, love, love, my Godin but hate how it looks. I like how the Richmonds look, and I gather they're built with the same level of quality.

(I think I spotted the Empire for $400 at HelloMusic the other day. If I was flush with cash, I would've.)
