Humbuckers vs. Single Coils

Awwww, yeaaaaa. Getting generic up in here.
Which do you prefer to use?
Why?
I like single coils because they sound super trashy, but I've been thinking of putting humbuckers in my strat because I'm kinda sick of all the noise when I play loud.
And yes, you can only choose one. No coil tapping/splitting/humbucker+single coil guitars. Life sucks.

if forced to choose i'd go single-coil, but i use both for dufferent things, and by far prefer 'buckers for fuzz.

I just did a search for "power drill scatterwind" and "CIA Kennedy assassination conspiracy theory" was the first response.

Shh.
Yeah it's be my first attempt. I'm going to have to rig up some kind of turn counter. There's a little program someone wrote that counts connections between pins on a cable from the computer; some people rig up cheap little calculators to add 1 over and over.
I want the pickups microphonic to some extent; I want them really sensitive. I'm not going to pot them; just wrap them in some tape. I'll let everybody know how it goes. I have everything I need (bobbins from mojotone and wire from ebay; and some neodymium magnets to magnetize the pole pieces!) - just been putting it off / working. I even obsessed about wire material for a while (

Single coils. I like their crisp attack and clarity...no mud for me

Buckers sound really flat and boring to me
that said, I like the MIJ Fender Jaguar HH Special Edition with buckers... it sounds different with the strangle and the short scale and all... but otherwise i just don'T really like buckers
from all the experience i've had, single coils (general term) always have more of the attack i'm looking for... the snap and twang and the thing that makes the sound really agressive and dynamic and awesome

Singlesssss. I love the bite and the way fuzz reacts to them.
