so, i've to a sunn sentura I head with 60 watts output either 8 or 16 ohms. i want to pair it with this sunn 412s cab, which is (so it says) 4 ohm 240 watts RMS and wired seperately for stereo. if i want to run all four together with this head will it work and plz tell me why.

If they are the original speakers they SHOULD be 60w and 16ohms.
Your best bet would be to rewire the cab series/parallel making it's total impedance 16ohms.
Then use the 16ohm tap on the back of the amp.

If you post a pic of the jack plate on the cab, I may be able to tell you how to run it as is.

Judging from those pictures the cab is wired with two 16ohm speakers per side.
If they are wired parallel (most likely) each jack would be 8ohm and you could
only use two speakers at a time with the 8ohm tap on your amp.
If they are wired in series (doubtful) each side would be 32ohm and you could
combine them and use the 16ohm tap on your amp.
To know for sure you're going to have to take the speakers out and see what's up.
If you've already gone that far you might as well rewire all four speakers series/parallel
and have one 16ohm jack on the back of the cab that you can use with the 16ohm tap on your amp.
You can wire the other jack so you could daisy chain another 16ohm cab to this one if you want.
If you were to daisy chain another 16ohm cab you would use the 8ohm tap on the amp.
Here are some wiring diagrams:

If the two pairs are wired seperately, you can get 16 ohms by a special series Y-adapter. You would need to test to make sure the grounds aren't connected together. It may still be easier to do it internally.
The way the cab is spec'd is odd, is the stereo wiring a mod? The 4 ohms 240W is only for both sides in parallel. Each jack should be 8 ohms 120W. If a mod, it could be wired different. A DC ohmeter can be used to test, will read a little low but not half (e.g. 8 ohms might read 6 ohms, but definitely more than 4).

Could just be trying to squeeze more money out of you, don't be afraid to walk on it.
