Hey all,
I'm in need of info for an absolute beginner. I'm trying to get a contract at my college to start doing independent work for credit and I'm wanting to combine 3D metal sculpture. and circuits! I have to get it approved first though and it helps to have actual books on your syllabus that reference how you learned all your shtuff instead of just "OH HEY, I"M GONNA GO BEND METAL!"
Right now I'm looking at these...
http://www.amazon.com/Getting-Started-Electronics-Forrest-Mims/dp/0945053282/ref=cm_lmf_tit_2
http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Formulas-Symbols-Circuits-Forrest/dp/0945053304/ref=pd_sim_b_4
http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Circuits-Projects-Engineers-Notebook/dp/0945053312/ref=pd_sim_b_2
I know the third one might not apply as much to this board, but I think it might be important since I also want interaction from the viewer as part of my work. KNOB TWIDDLING AND SOUND DESTRUCTION FOR ALL!!
Has anyone read any of these and/or are there any other books that you would recommend that would be both effective for me as a newb and satisfactory for the bureaucracy? Hopefully, actual pedals will be involved in one piece but I'll probably just go the BYOC route for that one.
