Man, I was waiting for something to happen. I don't understand how this album turned out to be so uneventful.
I was excited that Omar decided to not dictate every part of the music and to jam with people, but this album seemed so safe and boring to me. As if they were afraid to say "no" during jamming and went with it.

I hope it turns out I'm very "wrong" and in a little bit I love the album.

Well, I think it's refreshing to see omar have a little restraint to be honest. All he ever does us go on insane jam journeys (which are awesome) but it's so cool to see him write some songs, you know? Amazing, dancy, catchy as fuck songs too.

This is the first thing since deloused that I really thought was exciting and inspiring. Relationship of Command is a classic of course, but Bosnian Rainbows is way different.

dont go in with any expectations. if i heard this band with no prior knowledge, i would never guess Omar was involved.

I was a HUGE ATDI fan so of course I nearly shit myself with excitement when both Tremulant and Deloused materialized. Honestly, I loved Sparta's Wiretap Scars too so the bust up of ATDI actually produced a couple great bands for a minute there. I fell off after that tho, esp with TMV, shit just got to bombastic and ridiculous and jammy for my tastes. Always cool parts involved but I got sick of listening to the long drawn out mess just to hear those cool parts for a bar or two.

Anyway, haven't heard of bit of Bosnian Rainbows but from the descriptions here I'm totally excited about it. I like to hear that Omar is holding back a bit and letting others write. Seemed like he became a conductor with TMV, producing records with other musicians playing parts he wrote/orchestrated. No thanks.

And the 80's catchy dance funk description is intriguing, MUST LISTEN SOON!
