My bassist is trying to get fundage for a rick together and is selling me this sweet old Electra short scale bass. It plays great but has a bridge that it not adjustable and intonation starts to get screwy above the 7th fret. I want to install an adjustable bridge on there to really make this thing into a player.
String to string on the current bridge is 2 inches. I've had a hard time finding bridges with that spacing. Why would you sell a bridge and not put the dimensions out there? Kind of important IMO.
So help me out guys, what are some bridges with large adjustment range, and spacing that wont have the strings sliding off the edge of the neck?
The neck on this thing is the best I've ever played. the bass sounds great, just has the intonation issue and I'm excited to get it to full potential.

man you're not kidding... i just looked all around and the smallest I'm finding is a 2 1/8".
Two ideas: you could get a early 50's style p-bass 2 saddle bridge and file the grooves where you need them; won't be the best for intonation but better. OR worst case, get a 5 string or even 6 string bridge and mutilate as necessary.
