Question - E-bow with a jazzmaster

Hey, Jazzmaster mates

I'm thinking about buying an E-bow to use with my Jazzy... I'm wondering - can I use it behind the bridge? Picking the g string behind the bridge works for me well for weird ambient harmonic content, does e-bow do anything there?

I wouldn't see why not! That actually sounds like an awesome idea!

Just tried it, doesn't do shit... It has to be close to the pickups, it kinda works all the way up by the nut but not really... The E-Bow just causes the string to vibrate and because the distance between the trem and bridge is so short and the stings so tight they really don't vibrate enough to cause the rest of the sting (from the bridge to nut) to make sound... E-Bow rules though and everyone should have one...
