I'm a huge fan of the TAFM. I don't necessarily think its dark though. It can get in the dark region with the right settings.
I'm not a big fan of the Pharaoh but I certainly think its a dark pedal and real heavy in the low mids, in almost all and any settings. I almost even prefer it with a boost in front of it to brighten it up.
I always felt the Pigtronix Aria got great sounding fuzz when the gain knob was up. That has a 3-band EQ as well which can let you dial in some low end mids and dial out some highs. Kinda had a fuzzy tweed style to it. Really dug it besides the enclosure layout, which is subjective.

Megalith and TAFM are both pretty thick but I wouldn't consider either really warm.
I'd go for a Muff of some sort:
Supercollider
Pharaoh
Baby Thundaa
Grey Stache
Bluebeard
Wren & Cuff (Take your pick)
Skreddy Supa Tone (

I'm like halfway hoping nobody buys that Supa Tone so I can get it back. That one used to be mine
It's not really dark but it has a tone knob and is crushing

LSTR can get pretty warm and tasty. I agree that the TAFM isn't really what I'd call warm.

TAFM. I don't know it was way warm when I played it, but I never used the boost, just the fuzz with a bit of clean blend.... could've been the English Muff'n making it warm.
Blue Box with the mix down so its no octave, just fuzz. Holowon Furr Fuzz with the "Blur" control rolled back.

Black Arts Toneworks Pharaoh. Dark and mid-boosted. Cheap as chips.

i've already had a tafm and used it a ton, but i need something that is easier to get the setting that i want... tafm always sounded different when i stepped on it.
i play either a jazzmaster or a les paul with p90s into a musicman (basically a twin reverb with one speaker).. fender amp tone.
the closest thing i've had to this particular tone i'm looking for was a black russian big muff.. it was lacking something though that i can't really put my finger on. but i want something that can also do lower gain stuff/is in a smaller box.
