I'm using the SS/BS Mini in its fuzzier, higher-gain modes, and it's awesome. I really like it for that (hell, its taking over for a Pharaoh in that mode). I'm looking to stack it with something else that sounds good at at lower gain. That way, I can get a low-gain thrill, the Mini in its glory, and an over-the-top wall with them stacked.

I'm rocking an SG into a Silverface Bassman 100. What you say, hive mind?

That's not a half-bad idea. The mini sounds awesome in low-gain, too. Does it work out with two in series like that?

Algal Bloom all Day Everyday... I've also liked it with the Pharaoh, Muffs, Elements, Magic Meter, and TAFM either before or after... The great thing about the MINI is that it works nicely Pre or Post any of those pedals and it's versatile as FUCK which it was derived from...

Experiment... I'm sure it pairs well with whatever you have, even a DS-1... It makes my Grunge sing like a bitch...

Yeah I used to stack two all the time. One on low, one on medium, together for high. Gain stacking rules.

At lower gain settings I'd stack it with my blunderbuss and fnord

I set my 'regular' Fuck for max gain and my mini for low gain, so yeah I'd say a second mini, a regular Fuck, or perhaps an Elements. I'd really like to try a sparkle motion.

a really cool thing not too many people are hip to is that when you have two identical ODs and you balance them JUST RIGHT the second duplicates the clipping of the first, resulting in a heavily compressed signal that sustains forever. Bob Mould used to run three or four Distortion+ in series on the early/mid Hüsker Dü records. two Minis would probably be wonderful for this.
