Does anyone have one on here?
from what I gather... they have low wattage speakers. (Haha, Low-watt in a Hiwatt!)
Can they be swapped out? or would the construction of the cab itself not workout so well for higher wattage 15'' bass speakers?

Different wattage's aren't gonna blow the cab to shreds... Everybody be going Cab Crazy lately... If you can check it out in person make sure it's solid and here's some good advice from another thread...

Buy a cheap one with decent speakers.
When you get it home, take pics of the wiring scheme and how it all goes together and then gut it. Pull the speakers, wire, everything.
Mix up small batches of wood glue with HOT water. about 50/50.
Angle the cab so that the glue will seep into the joins one at a time. Use weights or something to apply pressure once its seeped in a bit.
get all 4 corners and any parts on the front that are joined with glue.
Let it sit 24 hours.
Take some cue tips and deoxit the speaker connections. Use some needle nose pliers to tighten up the female end connectors.
Get some insulation/ porous foam / old sweaters whatever. Use a staple gun to attach this all over the back and side of the cab.
Put everything back together and the cab will sound better than new.
When tightening down the speakers, not to tight, try to make them all the same. add some loctite to the screws after they are situated so they wont back out from vibration.
For all the wood bits that screw back together, add some CA glue to the holes with enough time to let it dry before reassembling. this will help them have some more bite into the wood if its worn out.
I think thats about it. This can make a HUGE difference in the sound. Like, night and day difference. If its old and beat up it'll add another 30 years of life to it.

Seen some pictures. Dude wants a RIDICULOUS amount for it... like insane.
It doesn't have the Hiwatt logo and the speakers aren't original and he doesn't even have the old speakers.
Even though I would have swapped em' out anyways, that still makes it worth less... right? I'd think so anyways.
He put in two 200 watt Eminence bass speakers, which I probably would have done anyways.
I seen a few of them that were stock go for in and around $1000 on ebay and one on craigslist. That was original though.
I seen one that was unloaded last year go for $300, I'm starting to think this guy bought that one and is attempting to flip it even though it's not worth even close to what he thinks it is.

I knew someone with one of these. He bought it is LA with replaced speakers for $600. It sounded fantastic (even with the replaced speakers), but I just can't imagine it being worth $1000 without the original Fanes in it.

Exactly! this guy wants $2500 for it... I was talking to him on the phone and was like... "so man, how much do you want for it?"
he replied with "25" and i was like "like... $2500?" he was like "yes"
and my mind was blown.
he proceeded to offer me a straight trade... my OR120 and road case for it... I was like "are you fuckin' crazy man?" even if it was all original I wouldn't do that. Only a collector with a shit load of money would probably pay $2500 if it was literally mint condition all original, even then I still find it hard to believe he wanted that much for it.

Holy cow! $2500 is a ballsy asking price. I would have laughed, because there is no way I would have thought he was serious. If you change your mind about the OR120, I have a really rare and valuable JCM900 cab I'll trade for it.

Any money/items I get from selling/trading the OR120 are going to my buddy with the DR201, or to getting this cab.
Sorry man! Really looking for cash so I can buy the DR201 straight from him.
And yeah, I totally laughed when he said that... couldn't believe it.
That is his "if you pay this, I will sell it because I don't need to or want to sell it" price. haha.
I guess I'm still on the hunt for one!
