How do you guys normally layout offboard wiring for a 3PDT switch and LED indicator but no 9v battery on the dc jack?

Thanks!

Why not this though?

There are many ways to do it, it's just a matter of preference

Ok, I was just curious. Also... What is the best way to solder off-board wires onto the strip board or PCB itself? I've tried just putting the tinned wire through the holes on the ends but I usually end up with a really fragile joint. BTW, I'm using 22 gauge, but will most likely switch to 24.
PS: is it just me, or does soldering to output/input jacks take forever? I swear they hate me haha.

I use 24, which is thin enough usually to pre-tin before inserting into the PCB and soldering it up
And you'll get the hang of jacks, it'll come with time!

I do this on every pedal. grounded input, grounded output. nothing gets through! the wah version of the parallel universe leaked through on bypass but thats only because the oscillator is a speaker amplifier cranked up to 11 running through an unshielded snake in a wah enclosure at audio rates.

If you connect 1->8 on the above scheme, it grounds the input in bypass mode, handy for high gain fuzz etc
