as far as goofy goes...i think these are sorta kool in a goofy way....the Epiphone Comet / designed by Chuck Hendrick...who did a small run of these in the mid 80's:

funny you should say...I have number 3 out of 100 (in green complete with gumby stickers). i need to dig it out.
it's a great guitar that i never ever play for some reason. you can't tell from the pic but the orange one is concave. weird.
