What do you think are the best new thrash (or thrashy) bands, or new releases by bands that may or may not themselves be new?

I'll have to do that. 'The previous record 'Full of Hell' was pretty sick.
I highly recommend checking out the new Sylosis record. They're a good reminder that standard tuning and guitar solos can still rip you a new one in a memorable, well-crafted kinda way.

for newer thrash I tend to like the more hardcore leaning stuff. ALA Municipal Waste and Send More Paramedics. The metaly thrash just sounds like rehashed early 80s Metallica riffs to me
80s thrash was my shit in early high school though, so maybe I'm just burnt out on it at this point.
