is there anyway to get rid of the oscilation? i lowered the volume almost all the way but its still oscialating when i use the sustain knob all the way up, would a boss noise suppressor do it? or would it eat the tone? i knew it would oscilate but i thought maybe the volume being down would answer the problem

Post clips if you can. What power supply are you using?
It's a really unruly pedal and known for it's chaos & noise.

i know its suppose to all great with noise and everything but how are you suppose to jam out to tool with it bullshiting you with all that noise all the time?

there shouldve been a way to turn it on and off, i knew about it before i bought it i just thought it wouldve gone away if i had the volume low, but it is still noticeable there.

pedal nails tool sounds though can't compalin abou tthat if there was no noise this pedal would absolute treasure. good thing the rocket that is coming to me today doesnt do this, has switchs for chaos as we all kno

I think that some of Devi's pedals kinda vary wildly from build to build. Sounds like you might have gotten an extra-feisty Aenima.

Yeah, her pedals can definitely vary, as per PumpkinPieces demo:

Also if you really hate the Aenima that much, PM me ;)

Yeah man, it oscillates at low guitar volumes...I don't mean to be a dick, but this came up a lot at devis forums.... why can't you just turn the pedal off when not playing? Its a high gain, ungated pedal... its gonna be noisy yo. The Aenma is not meant to be quiet. Certain pedals are not going to shut up no matter what, and devi makes a few. It takes some patience and technique to work them into live playing and recording, but in the end if you want all out fuzz without a gate, its worth it. That means you may have to turn it off quickly after a super heavy noise part of a song that instantly transfers into a quiet section.

Also, about the video demo, I just remembered way back when, Devi and Kim (does anyone remember kim? lalz) posted a cure to the noise in the early E13 aenimas, and I assume that mod wasnt done to my E13 Aenima. (thank goodness).

Yeah, PP is right. I've had 3 different Aenimas, and all of them were noisy to some extent. Although the one I have now is the quietest one I've had. I made a demo video of a Hyperion/Aenima twin awhile back and I specifically made note of how noisy it was.

I've owned three AEs, and each one acted differently.
that's honestly one of my favorite things about the older Devis

I had one, that I think PP might have now, that oscillated like the old pagoda ND (btw whatever happened to that tourbox of a pedal?)
I had another that didn't oscillate at all but couldn't turn past half without it shrieking, even though it was the lowest gain AE of the bunch
the last one idr remember too well, I didn't spend too much time with it before flipping

that Asian dude OK doesn't sound like any other OK I've played, which is why I want it back so bad :/
I had a handpainted SM that sounded like my first hype, but nothing like my second hype, and didn't oscillate
another SM I owned didn't oscillate until all the way up but had the gnarliest gain from get go, and turned into an ND or so towards the end

fuck I miss that feeling Devi's used to give me..

Definitely, I've got two TP's and one of them just sounds fucking nuts compared to the other.
