Don't read if you like cats.

A car ran over it's head but it didn't die, instead it started spasming in pain on the road. There was blood everywhere, a woman saw and dragged it to the sidewalk practically in front of my girlfriend and I, it's eye was popping out of its head...

It was especially awful because my girlfriend loves cats more than anything, we were going to lunch when we saw it happen, she immediately went home and picked up her cat and started crying. She wanted to help it but I wouldn't let her, it was too late to do anything and I didn't want her to be traumatized any further.

Sorry for depressing you if I did, I've just never seen something die like that before. It was strange, it's like watching the bombing of Hiroshima or something like that, it's horrible but you're in awe of what just happened, you know?

I had almost the exact thing happen to my girlfriend and I back in high school. Only it was a squirrel, which is somehow less disturbing. Maybe not to her though...

Seen that happen like 2 times...and I really love cats,AND dogs,big time

Although,I wouldn't compare that to Hiroshima,man.

It probably was dead, but still had some neurons firing.

I saw a humming bird get caught up in the gust of a truck driving by, get stuck on the tire and then run over. I was waiting to cross the street, and this woman and her son came up next to me, saw the bird and were like "oh my god, what happened to it? This is terrible!" My thought is, if it's not someone's pet, and it's not endangered, it really doesn't matter.

House cats? I think not. They reproduce quickly.

Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I just mean it had the same type of impact on me as when I see something like that (I couldn't think of something else to liken it to). Sorry.

I once saw a little girl get hit by a bus and the bus ran over her head too. I can't tell you much, but i sure can tell you it was pretty nasty to see. Oh well, that's life isn't it. Enjoy every day you have! Life could end at any moment.

And now something happy! I'm gonna pick up my new cat next week, well, kitten actually. I'm gonna call her Zero

i didn't think much of this thread when i first saw it, but then today i had to scrape my cat off the highway. so now i totally understand where you're coming from.
