This is cool and all but I heard Indian guys playing like this back in the 90's on the cultural channel in the bay area every Saturday morning, they just weren't trendy enough back then.

I can't remember their names off hand, but there was two of them [one played a red and black strat] and they's play them performing or some other local ICM artist every sat.

I find Prasanna to be a little on the wanky side.
That one that you posted, Mudfuzz, wasn't too too bad. (It kinda sounds like Weather Channel jazz though.)

Maybe, that is way more western then what I use to see, it was him with a tabla & tambura combo live, and half of the time he would be messing with a pedal between lines

That's a nice Gamelan clip.
Maybe we should start a thread dedicated to world musics since it seems that's what this thread is turning into.
(I think we've had one before, but a new one can't hurt.)
