I have started doing a kit of the Silicon Pep Box (1967 WEM Rush Pep Box), packaging includes a 2 sided pro printed card header securing the polythene bag.
£18 for the full kit (transistors, capacitors, resistors, trimpot, PCB)
£8 for the PCB plus transistors (BC107)
£7 for just the PCB
It is possible to build the circuit stock (Level and Pep) or with an optional output capacitor blend 'Tone' control.
shipping is £2-UK, £3-EU, £4-USA/ROW
There will be a PDF guide by the end of this week.
PCB is designed by Stu Castledine and manufactured in the UK, very good quality.
PM me or email - info AT ghosteffects.co.uk if you are interested.
cheers! ;)

Just built one of these a few days ago, and I'd never built a pedal before. I've done pots, caps and pickups on guitars and am reasonably confident when it comes to wielding a soldering iron but up until I built the Pep I was a DIY Fuzz Virgin. Had some wire and an old enclosure with a 3PDT switch and jacks so all I really had to add were the three pots and a battery snap. PCB was incredibly easy to make up and Ian's PDF instructions were crystal clear. Had a little trouble with the switch shorting the bypassed signal but it was an easy fix and now it's up and running. And it sounds GREAT. I already had a Basic Audio Pep Fuzz and this is every bit as good - a really nice buzzy, gated, 60s fuzz. The internal bias pot is very handy, too.
If anyone else is looking for a fuzz project, this is a great place to start.
