So while i have a house in the mountains to myself for 18 days I decided im going to do a soul cleansing me time thang. Just deal with all of the bullshit thats been fucking my head up harshing me out. Probably psychedelic drugs will be taken. Shrooms will be a must. Anyway i need music thats glorious and triumphant and dynamic and forward looking. Liturgy is the overriding theme of this. That and some baroque stuff like scarlatti and vivaldi. Throw some psych rock and shoegaze in there as well. What i need are bands/ songs that gel with this stuff. I need positive or melancholy or even sad as long as its constructive. What i dont need is brootz, negative shit, angry or hateful shit, or overly spaced out boring stuff. Also no hip hop or anything i got that shit covered. Heres what i have so far:

Im up for anything as long as its kindof triumphant or really cathartic sounding. Electronica, funk, jazz, whatever as long as its not going to get me on a bad trip, be boring, be negative.

As someone who has taken a lot of psychedelics and knows people that have also taken a lot I have always had trouble with this for some reason. Stuff that I figured for a given for myself and friends has been hated by newcomers as the groups expanded. I'm just gonna throw as big a net as I can, here we go:

http://emancipator.bandcamp.com/album/soon-it-will-be-cold-enough

http://internationalobserver.bandcamp.com/album/heard

http://interchill.bandcamp.com/album/cryogenic-encounters

http://whirrband.bandcamp.com/album/pipe-dreams

Couldn't find the whole album but I think The Stix is the way to go, although One Armed Bandit is also fun when tripping. More of a sort of "set piece" album if that makes sense.

I don't know what your definition of "spaced out" is but I mean, it's Shulman. Can't really go wrong, especially when your peaking. Any later Shpongle album is also a good choice in this slot.

Surf I found is also fun. Man or Astroman is cool but if you want something a little more trad try The Surfites, The Breaks or The Kilaueas.

Anyways, have a good time man and be safe.

Phaedra by Tangerine Dream

Earth 2 and Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light vol. 2 by Earth (Duh).

A particularly good track by Horseback by the name of Hatecloud Dissolving into Nothing.

Music for Airports by Brian Eno

Side 2 of Low by David Bowie

I know that's a lot of boring ambient shit, but that's what I'd want to listen to I think.

Rothko Chapel by Morton Feldman

Or this:

A Sweet Quasimodo Between Black Vampire Butterflies for Maybeck is the live version in album form if that recording is too poor for you. Though it's not played exactly the same.

Swans - My Father Will Guide Me up a Rope to the Sky - for when you want oppressive rhythms

Mogwai - The Hawk is Howling - for when you want triumph

Explosions in the Sky - All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone - but maybe that's more boring than you want

These are some solid recommendations. I'd maybe throw Mogwai's Happy Songs For Happy People in there too.

If you're after tongue-in-cheek Satanic triumph with equal parts beauty and catchy heaviness, get Ghost Infestissumam and play that mofo straight through. On shrooms. Life changing experience should result.

I know this album definitely causes me to reflect on my life. And, you know, innards.
