Warmoth quality control problems?

Just received a jazzcaster body from Warmoth and this is what the bridge PUP route looks like.

The neck route is pretty bad too but at least it will be covered by the pickguard.
Anyone else have similar issues with Warmoth? I shot them an email. I'd really rather not wait to get a new body made and am thinking I could fill it with wood filler, so I'm really hoping for a partial refund. It still sucks

Yeah, that's lame.
Sorry to hear of your troubles.
What is that? Did someone slip with the router?

SO just heard back from Warmoth and that shitty route is a byproduct of them routing the HB slots over the stock tele PUP holes. Of course, they don't mention any of this on the site. Ugh.

Sucks, especially for a pricey US crafted item :/

Yeah, that'd be good to know before ordering especially because there're other places to get bodies that may or may not have the same problems.

For real. The guy I spoke to basically said I can return it if I want, but the only way to avoid this problem is by ordering custom body. I've decided to just keep it. The gouge only overhangs the PUP cover by a sliver. And If I decide to throw own a gotoh or similar tele style bridge, it won't be visible at all.

Sucks, but definitely gonna be able to cover it. I wouldn't be particularly happy, paying for something and it not being one hunna doe

Thats bullshit. I would not be cool with that. They need to contact you before they ship if thats their "How we do it".

I responded to the guy's email saying it was pretty ridiculous that they don't inform the buyer of that and that I likely won't be ordered bodies from them anymore based on their lack of description. Never heard back.
Whatever. It's still going to look sick finished.

Out of curiosity, did you pick this thing up as a "in stock" body and get it with a humbucker route or was it made from the "design your own" thing?
Either way it is pretty ridiculous that they have the tele pickup route done beforehand when so many people probably don't get it with a tele pickup.

It was a showcase one, so yeah, in stock. I guess I just assumed that the in stock bodies weren't routed, since they had other routing options available.
