Which EQD Overdrive?

My next pedal is gonna be an EQD overdrive. I have a Speaker Cranker which is still my favorite pedal, by itself or when I switch to gain channel. I wondered of their offerings which one would also have the hugest roar. Sometimes I am thinking Talons cause of the active tone stack, but I might like White Light or Crimson better. I just don't fucking know!!!

I am an unabashed Talons fanboi. It is just amazing. So clear and flexible, it's just nuts. It's got a great default punchiness when the EQ knobs are all at noon, where you can totally hear that it's "your tone," just tighter. Add the presence control for fine-tuning the edginess of the oval tone, and it's just perfect for tone-sculpting. Oh, and the actual drive/gain sounds great.

Yeah, I could use the active EQ too. I don't have any other EQ. Besides the amp which is passive. Talons demos on Youtube are all hard to figure.

This right hurr.

If I played guitar, I'd record something demo-ish for you. Alas, I am a 4-stringer.

I'm planning on White Light when I get the funds in order. I was looking for a distortion + or something similar and realized that the white light is based off of them!

I've got a Speaker Cranker, Crimson Drive and Dream Crusher. Each one seems to be a progressive step up in terms of overdrive and they stack well. I've never tried the Talons, but the EQ does seem like it could be very useful in your setup.

I really dig the sound samples I've heard of the White light, but If I ever make another step-up In EQD drive, it's going to be the Monarch.

I usually set my White Light to be very low gain, on the less compressed setting which makes things pretty tight and bright sounding. But it can also get really dense and smooth and just about anything in between.
I want to try a Speaker Cranker really bad though. Talons demos don't do anything for me. Crimson Drive sounds cool as hell.

edit: I should note that I don't often use the WL as a "stand alone" OD; I use it as a clean tone and run the ss/bs Mini into it for my favorite sounds.
