what do u guys think of these?
i have had one for a few years. mine looks just like the one pictured above.
i know they are cheap, but whats the drawback to using one of these all the time? no true bypass? when mines in the chain i just leave it on all the time anyway.
inferior components? wiring? jacks? i dont know enough about pedals to know what the potential drawbacks are with it.

They're not true bypass but that's not always what you want, and the golden rule: if it sounds good keep going. The switches can get a little dodgy over time, but if you're leaving it on all the time that isn't really a problem. Aside from the switch (which afaik isn't that hard to swap out for a better one or you can just leave it on and put it in a bypass loop if you ever fancied turning it off, that's how I use my DOD octaver) they're pretty solid.

Oh yes, I know about the golden rule. Haha.
I've got a nice little mix working upstairs right now. DOD 80B ---> Rogue Blind Mary ---> R2G2 (G2 clone)
thanks for the info. ive had this a few years and never had a problem with the switch, or the knobs cracklin or anything.
