I'm dreaming of an acoustic version of this monster ... lots of texture and droning sustain ...

the worst thing about it is the over the top price!

aren't they supposed to come out with a less expensive standard version?
i remember reading about it (the cheaper model) when the guitar first made the rounds but not since.

Yeah, I thought that too. I mean, it's Moog. They aren't gonna make it cheap, but how about the price of a Voyager? ...or lower...

... know what, just sell the electronics separately. :D

The strings for that thing are over $100 on their site. But much cheaper on Zzounds and the like. I let out an audible "what the fuck!" when I saw it.

I really like that headstock. Don't know that I'd have any use for the guitar though.

not really because all the strings are active, not just one like when using the ebow. there's also different settings and ways to use the technology.

anyone remember the Gizmotron?...it had electronic rubber wheels that, when activated, created an endless bowed/strummed effect. one for each string.

I think that the cheaper version wouldn't be that cheap ... I mean if the standard price is 6500$
the cheap version could be like 4000$ ... and without lots of cool features!
I'm thinking about buying 6 ebows, mounting them on a metal bridge with 2 suction caps , putting the bridge on my pickguard and playing with 6 ebows at time :idk: :poke: :idk:
it would be not so easy to play like that, but it's better than paying 6500$ for a fucking moog guitar!
