LP is pretty cool, is that the newly released/updated Standard? What pickups came stock and what's going on with the controls, coil tapped??

it's last years model, pretty sure the new ones are the same thing though, no?

controls, hven't played with them yet and really it sounds like a whole lot of gibson mumbo jumbo

The independent volume pot for each pickup has push-pull switching to independently split the coils for single-coil tones, with hum-cancelling performance in the middle position thanks to a reverse-wound/reverse-polarity bridge pickup. Pop up the neck pickup’s tone control for reverse-phase tones, or lift the bridge pickup’s tone knob to tap Gibson’s new Pure Bypass setting, which routes that pickup straight through to the output jack, bypassing the volume and tone controls for a hotter, clearer sound, making it a great “instant lead” preset

Man, I'm not even sure on the Standards, just saw a Sweetwater ad touting the newly revised Standard recently. Only LPs I pay attention to are Customs for the most part.

Yeah, seems like they started coil tapping everything now days but I prefer that, the more variety the better. I favor series/parallel switching honestly but I think coil tap is the neck best thing. And I'm someone who ALWAYS preferred HBs in the past. Now days that's not really the case, finally see the advantage singles can offer. HBs with switching options are just that much cooler imo.
