Hey whats up! I'm getting ready to do some pedal hunting / shopping because I just finished buying most of the gear I'd like to have but I need your guy's help identifying some sounds so I know what the hell I''m buying. If anyone has anything that helps stuff sound like what's in these next few video links chances are I'll buy em' off y'all too.

I'm way curious on what they use for the lead melody on this track and at the 2:50 point in this track. If it helps I know Mineta of this group plays on a Rickenbacker / Vox combo and the other guitarist does Les Paul / Marshall Stack.

The opening sounds like it can be done exactly with an Earth Quaker Sea Machine but as far as that heavy overdriven at 2:00 I have no idea.

At around the 2:09 point there is something that sounds like a Devi Ever build could make??

Seriously, anything at this point would be greatly appreciated.

the lead in the first video sounds like a +1 octave and even a +2 octave with maybe a hard choppy tremolo set very fast. Could also be a synth of some sort. hell it could just be octaves played really fast tough to tell.

2nd video at 2:00 is just heavy, well recorded guitars... probably just a good amp. If you can't get there with your current amp, try out a boost, drive, or dirt pedal that gets ya close maybe someone could recommend one.

3rd video you nailed it... fuzz with a lot of squelch and odd stuff happening. could be a devi, or wolf computer type thing or something that really motorboats or comes close.

Just my 2 cents...

1st video:
I mostly hear a bit of a cheesy flutey sounding synth there.
Most succes I had playing flute on the guitar was with an Ebow on the neck pickup with the tone control turned down and maybe some delay.
A good second is one of these Slow Gear type swell pedals or just doing swells with a volume pedal or the volume knob on your guitar and maybe some delay.
The Whammy on octave up setting sounds nice and flutey as well I think.
If you combine the swell with the (Whammy) octave up and the delay then you should really get somewhere close I think.

2nd video:
Just proper crunchy guitars, not even that heavy really, most of the heaviness comes from the bass and the guitars are quite twangy Britpop style.
Also quite some overdubs and not that heavy / full chords, more like double stops (gets that twangy sound) and maybe just three note chords layered on top of eachother with a lead melody high up on the neck picked fast.

3rd video:
oscillating fuzz, quite nasal sounding, some sort of a muff variant with a tone control and oscillation maybe.

You guys helped me out so much! I am incredibly happy that I got some advice and am way stoked to be picking up this gear. No doubt will most likely be picking up an Ebow and a Devi. What is a good Dirt pedal to grab or anything that could potentially do overdubs well??

Oh, right, you mean for the kind of sounds like on the second video I guess?
I'm not entirely sure but I think Blackout Effectors, Catalinbread, Earthquaker Devices or Wampler should have something that fits the bill for you.
